🧡 A Thanksgiving Tribute 🧡

This season, our gratitude feels a little like a tapestry, woven from many hands, many stories, many hearts.

To our donors, who give quietly and generously,
you are the steady thread that keeps hope stitched in place.
Your gifts become warm meals, safe visits, open doors, and second chances that might never have been possible without you.

To our partners, who show up beside us in the hard work, you are the hands that lift with us, the voices that say yes when families need the village at their back.
Together, we build bridges where there used to be barriers.

And to our clients, whose courage fills the room even on the toughest days- you are the heart of this tapestry.
You show us what resilience looks like,
what transformation sounds like,
what it means to keep trying, even when the world feels heavy.
Your steps forward-big or small-are victories we celebrate with you.

This Thanksgiving, we honor every thread of this community,
every person who chooses compassion,
every story that reminds us why this work matters.

Thank you for walking alongside us.
Thank you for believing in families.
Thank you for being part of our mission.

🧡 With gratitude, Missouri Empowerment Project 🧡

🥧✨ Friendsgiving at MEP! ✨🥧
Nothing brings our team together like good food, good company, and a whole lot of gratitude.
Our crew works hard all year long, and today we paused to celebrate each other — because teamwork is the real recipe for success.
Happy Friendsgiving from our MEP family to yours! 🧡

💙Children's Grief Awareness Day💙
For many children in foster care, grief is more than the loss of a loved one — it’s the loss of home, family, community, and stability. These children often experience multiple layers of loss before ever entering care, and their grief may appear as anger, withdrawal, or behavioral struggles rather than tears.

At Missouri Empowerment Project (MEP), we understand that healing begins with acknowledgment. Our team of therapists, peer specialists, and family advocates work to create safe spaces where children can express their grief, rebuild trust, and learn healthy ways to cope.

🦋 Ways to support grieving children in foster care:

-Recognize hidden grief. Understand that acting out may be a form of mourning.
-Encourage storytelling. Let children talk about their family and memories without judgment.
-Maintain connections. When safe, support continued contact with siblings or relatives to preserve identity.
-Model emotional safety. Show that it’s okay to feel sad, angry, or uncertain — and that love remains constant.

Every child deserves the chance to heal and to be heard. Let’s continue to stand beside them as they find their voice, rebuild belonging, and rediscover hope. 💛

🎉 Thank You, Engineering Department at Independent Stave Company - ISCO 🎉🎉

We are incredibly grateful for your generous donation supporting our School-Based Therapy Program in Lebanon. Because of your investment, uninsured students will now have access to mental health counseling and crisis services right at school — ensuring no child is left without support during their most vulnerable moments.

Your commitment to the wellbeing of local youth is making a real and immediate impact. 💛

Thank you for helping us build a healthier, stronger community — one student at a time. 🧠✨
