Why is chiropractic care so important after an oral tie revision? 🤔
Let’s talk about it 👇
This sweet girl came to see me for the first time at just one week old, right after her tongue tie revision. Mom noticed she had a very shallow latch and never seemed satisfied after feeding, which are both classic signs of oral tension (but also not the ONLY signs! See an IBCLC if you suspect your baby has an oral tie)
During her first visit, it was clear that she was carrying a lot of tension, especially on the left side. That tension affects more than just baby's mouth. It influences how baby turns their head, how they latch, how efficiently they feed, and even how comfortable they're feeling overall.
We began seeing her weekly, then biweekly, and now she comes in monthly.
And the changes? Incredible! 🥺
She’s strong, healthy, latching beautifully, and has a wonderfully resilient immune system. And there's a reason for that 👇
When we release tension throughout the body (especially in the neck, jaw, shoulders, and spine) through gentle adjustments, babies can relax during feedings.
A relaxed latch leads to better milk transfer, better digestion, better sleep, and a calmer, more comfortable baby (and an even happier mama).
Now at 6 months, she continues to thrive, and I am so proud of her progress 💚
If your baby has had (or may need) a tie revision, chiropractic care can make a world of difference in their comfort and recovery!
