As we reflect on last week’s 25th Annual 94.7 WMAS - Springfield, MA Radiothon benefiting Baystate Children’s Hospital, we’re sharing 25 photos that capture the heart of this incredible event — the families who bravely share their stories, the donors who answer the call, and the volunteers who make it all happen. 📸

From impromptu dance lessons and shooting hoops to laughing with old friends and making new ones, Radiothon continues to unite our community in support of children and families across . Thanks to your generosity, this year the Baystate Health Foundation raised $250,376 to help provide lifesaving care, innovative treatments, and comfort for kids who need us most!

Today at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, our community showed up in a big way for the 25th Annual Radiothon benefiting Baystate Children’s Hospital. 🏥

From families sharing their stories to donors calling in their support, every donation helps provide critical care, advanced treatments, and comfort for children across .

Thank you to everyone who tuned in, made a Baystate Health Foundation gift, volunteered, and cheered us on. 💫

As February comes to a close, we’re proud to highlight our final feature! ❣️

Meet ➡️ Heidi Szalai, a Clinical Exercise Physiologist in Cardiac Rehabilitation at Baystate. For the past 22 years, Heidi has supported patients through every phase of cardiac recovery—from early ambulation and education after a cardiac event to long-term rehabilitation using exercise, nutrition, stress management, and personalized care. Her work helps reduce hospital readmissions and improves patients’ quality of life long after they leave the program.

Heidi values caring for the whole person and building trust with patients week after week as they regain strength and confidence. She’s proud to be part of a cardiac rehab team that supports patients, as well as one another, every day. 💙

Thank you, Heidi, and thank you to all our heart care professionals who make a lasting difference in the lives of our patients. 🏥

We are proud to recognize Cinthya Rivas, RN, BSN, and Jade Correa, RN as our January & February recipients of the ! This award honors nurses who provide extraordinary care with deep compassion and a commitment to seeing patients as people. 🎉

🌼 Cinthya Rivas was nominated by a patient hospitalized with sepsis who found comfort in Cinthya’s calm presence, kindness, and meaningful connection. When she learned her patient was also a nursing student worried about missing an exam, Cinthya went above and beyond—offering mentorship, sharing study resources, and turning moments of care into opportunities for learning and encouragement.

🌼 Jade Correa was nominated by a case management colleague for her compassion, teamwork, and resilience during a complex and emotionally challenging case. Jade’s ability to remain calm, mediate difficult conversations, as well as support both families and care teams, made a powerful difference towards a positive patient outcome.
