Agenda y temas de debate:

- Espacio abierto para compartir y celebrar lo que funciona para las familias.
- Educar sobre la discapacidad.
- La defensa de los derechos es muy diferente en la comunidad latina.
- Hablar sobre las barreras.

Access to food should never depend on immigration status. Oregon expanded food assistance so refugee and immigrant families can meet basic needs and stay healthy.

🎉 ¡Tu defensa fue escuchada! 🎉
Cuando nuestra comunidad se hace presente, el cambio sucede.

Gracias a tu defensa durante la sesión legislativa corta de Oregon 2026, no habrá recortes presupuestarios a:
✅ La exclusión de ingresos parentales (Parental Income Disregard)
✅ El autismo Nivel 1 seguirá siendo un diagnóstico que califica para servicios de IDD
✅ Los aumentos en las tarifas a proveedores se implementarán a partir del 1 de julio

Estos logros protegen los servicios que ayudan a niños y jóvenes con discapacidades a vivir, trabajar, jugar y aprender en sus comunidades.

Gracias a todos los que dieron testimonios por escrito o de manera oral y ayudaron a los legisladores a entender lo que estos recortes habrían significado para las familias.

Tu voz marcó la diferencia.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office will host a Drug Take Back Event on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This FREE event gives residents a safe way to dispose of unused or expired medications.

Drive-thru location:
Kalapuya Building Parking Lot
4500 SW Research Way, Corvallis

Enter the parking lot from Research Way and follow the directions from volunteers.

Individual households may drop off these accepted items:
• Prescription medications
• Over-the-counter medications

For safety reasons, the following items are NOT accepted:
• Needles or sharps
• EpiPens®
• Thermometers
• IV solutions
• Medical waste
• Vitamins
• Illegal drugs
• Medications from businesses such as nursing homes, clinics, or veterinary offices.

Why Drug Take Back Matters:
Unused medications in the home can be misused by others, especially teens and young adults. Safe disposal helps prevent prescription drug abuse.

Proper disposal also protects our environment. Flushing medications or throwing them in the trash can contaminate water systems and drinking water.

This event is part of the Drug Enforcement Administration - DEA Initiative.

The Sheriff’s Office is partnering with:
• Oregon State University College of Pharmacy
• City of Corvallis
• Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU)
