Julie has more than 30 years of experience in senior living and has dedicated her life to improving the lives of older adults and supporting the teams who serve them.
She will be a wonderful addition to the NCAL Board of Governors and we are excited to see her in this leadership position!

Congratulations to HCCI member Barry Carr for being appointed to the American Health Care Association’s Board of Governors!
Carr is the Chairman and Co-founder of Ignite Medical Resorts and has been in the industry for 40 years. He is looking forward to continuing his service to AHCA and long-term care in this role.
We know he will serve the position well and help lead our industry to a great future!

Our November Long-Term Care Hero of the month is Lincoln Ngiratiou, Maintenance Director at Nexus of Westmont (Formerly BRIA).🌟
Lincoln started his journey in LTC back in 2005 as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Over time, he brought his natural mechanical ability into a new role, becoming a Maintenance Assistant and eventually rising to Maintenance Director, a position in which he continues to lead by example every single day.
Whether he is responding to urgent repairs, maintaining regulatory standards, supporting staff, or simply sharing a warm smile with a resident, his presence is felt throughout the building. His unique background gives him a deep understanding of what residents need to feel safe, dignified, and valued.
Congratulations, Lincoln, on this incredible achievement and thank you for your work in long-term care!🏆

Since joining HCCI in 2021, Destiny has brought energy, expertise, and strong knowledge of the policy and workforce issues that impact our providers. Her experience in state government and her dedication to strengthening the long-term care industry make her the perfect fit for this new role.

Some HCCI staff members visited Sunrise Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Virden, Illinois this week where they sat down with the facility administrator to chat about the culture and amazing attitude of their building!
We had a great discussion and loved the ideas and lifestyle they bring to their facility.
