For many of the families we serve, the holidays bring a different kind of worry: how to make the season feel magical for their children when simply getting by feels hard enough.

Through Riverview’s Holiday Project, we’re helping families feel seen and supported by ensuring that every child experiences the joy of the season. 🎁

Your kindness can make that happen.

We’re celebrating our September 2025 Employee of the Month: Chef Lori! 🏆 Congratulations!

For 22 years, Chef Lori has filled Riverview’s cafeteria with warmth, kindness, and incredible meals. She serves every Day Treatment client with care and a smile that lights up the whole campus.

Here’s what our team had to say:

“Lori has always been kind, present, thoughtful and just an incredible human being to all who interact with her. She's gone above and beyond for all of us for so many years and she's the highlight of so many clients' days.”

“She is accommodating and so considerate to all who come through the cafeteria doors, and she always has a kind word for everyone. Truly, it would not be RCG without Lori.”

“Chef Lori goes above and beyond for both clients and staff in the day treatment program. She shows such care for everyone she interacts with. We love Chef Lori!"

"She is the best!”

Lori, thank you for all you do every day. Riverview wouldn’t be the same without you!

Food insecurity is scary... but it doesn’t have to be with your help!

Tomorrow, 18% of Oregonians will lose their SNAP benefits, leaving many Riverview families struggling to put food on the table this season. Through Harvest Helpings, we’re collecting food and monetary donations to make sure no family goes hungry.

How your gift helps:
💚 $20 = 4 gallons of milk
💚 $50 = Dinner for a family of four
💚 $100 = A complete holiday meal

Donate directly at RiverviewGrowth.org/donate

To coordinate a food drop-off, contact Raechel Scharf at:
541.510.0624 or RScharf@RiverviewGrowth.org

Food donation guidelines:
• All items must be unopened, sealed, and not homemade.
• Perishable items should be frozen or refrigerated and not expired.

Thank you for helping our community thrive!

With SNAP benefits frozen starting November 1st, many families we serve are facing a holiday season filled with worry instead of joy. At Riverview, 99% of our clients are experiencing economic marginalization, so this is when your support matters most.

Our Harvest Helpings project provides food kits and gift cards to families so they can focus on togetherness, not the burden of holiday meals. Every donation goes directly to helping a family feel seen, supported, and celebrated this season.

Wow, what an incredible day on the course! Thanks to the generosity and support of our community, our 2nd Annual Golf Tournament raised over $30,000 to help provide essential mental health services for youth, families, and adults across Lane County.

These funds will make a real, lasting impact in providing the tools and supplies that our staff need to better serve our clients.

It was truly inspiring to witness so many individuals and businesses come together in support of accessible mental health care. The sense of community and shared purpose that filled the day was something special. What a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we work together!

From all of us at Riverview, thank you to every sponsor, player, and volunteer who made this event possible. Your partnership and generosity help ensure that more families in our community receive the care they deserve.
