🎓👏 WCHS SENIOR EARNS ESTEEMED FULL-RIDE SCHOLARSHIP! 👏🎓

Congratulations to Washington County High School senior Sy Bramblett, who has been awarded a Presidential Scholarship to Campbellsville University! This highly prestigious, full-ride scholarship covers tuition, housing, and books, and is awarded to only 8 students each year. 🌟

At WCHS, Sy has been a standout both in the classroom and in athletics. He is a member of the National Honor Society and Youth for Christ, as well as the Commander Basketball, Baseball, and Golf teams.🏀⚾⛳

He is also active in the River of Life Youth Group and has earned recognition through Youth Salute and Senior Salute, while participating in WC Teen Leadership. Sy has been named to the Academic All-State First Team all four years of high school in each sport he competes in, an incredible testament to his dedication both on and off the field. Through the Co-op Program, Sy is employed at Central Kentucky Physical Therapy, gaining valuable real-world experience. In addition to his high school diploma, he will also graduate this May with an Associate Degree in Business from Midway University, a truly remarkable accomplishment!

At Campbellsville, Sy plans to major in Exercise Science, with the possibility of double majoring in Sports Management or Spanish. He plans to continue his education in physical therapy school and pursue a career as a physical therapist. Sy is the son of Luther and Lena Bramblett.

The December issue of the APTA Magazine (American Physical Therapy Association) featured an article on the use of Shockwave Therapy in Physical Therapy!

⭐️This is exciting news to see this modality gaining traction in our profession! Here at Springfield Physical Therapy we implemented this treatment earlier this summer and have seen some amazing results. Like many PTs in this article suggested we have seen it to be particularly helpful in chronic musculoskeletal conditions where first line treatments have not been successful. We have found that while immediate relief is often achieved with one treatment, healing still takes time and often requires 5 to 10 treatments as well as concurrent efforts of stretching, exercise and often some postural or body mechanic retraining. 💪🏻

⭐️ If you are struggling with chronic pain (plantar fasciitis, achilles tendinopathy, elbow or shoulder tendonitis, low back pain) and you feel like you have tried everything else this is a treatment you will want to try! ⭐️

Dr Erica Vance DPT was tapped to speak during the opening ceremony of the 2025 APTA Private Practice Section Conference! She commanded the 3000+ private practice owners from all over the US. Her commentary on the value of participating in the Peer to Peer program through the APTA was so on point!! She is no doubt an emerging leader in our profession!

October is National Physical Therapy Month, a time to raise awareness about the many benefits of physical therapy and celebrate the profession.

We will be offering strength and balance screens. You will learn about balance as you age, how your balance compares to others your age, fall prevention and most importantly how to age well and maintain your independence!

Visit the Washington County Public Library's booth at the Annual Washington County Senior Fall Festival! This event is fast approaching!

Eve will be leading a craft activity, so be sure to stop by and participate! 📚🍂
