Thanks to Derrick Duncan for visiting our second-year Therapeutic Skills class! Following a longboarding accident in 2014, Derrick became paralyzed from the chest down. He spoke to our students about his injury, recovery and how he continues to live an adventurous life.

Derrick is a great friend to the program and we love when he comes to visit!

✨ Fieldwork Friday ✨

Madison is completing her second level II rotation with HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, IL. She is working in an outpatient setting that sees a variety of adult and pediatric clients, primarily those with ortho and neuro diagnoses. Madison's fieldwork educator is Megan, an alum from our very first cohort!

Madison has enjoyed collaborating with her educator, seeing a variety of diagnoses and perfecting her manual therapy techniques.

Thank you to Megan and the St. Elizabeth's team for welcoming Madison!

Cooper Roy suffered a life-altering car accident in September 2024, which resulted in over 100 broken bones and a traumatic brain injury, among many other injuries.

Today, he stopped by our second-year Therapeutic Skills class to share his experiences on his journey to healing. With over 46 surgeries and countless hours of therapy under his belt, he provided some great insight into a client's perspective.

Huge thanks to Cooper for visiting with us and sharing his testimony!
