When you get vaccinated, you reduce your risk of getting sick and possibly being hospitalized. It is important to take your blood pressure medicine exactly as your doctor tells you to. Do not stop taking your current medicine without talking to your doctor or pharmacist first. Caring Health Center regularly hosts Chronic Disease Self Management Classes. The 6-week CDSMP series is aimed at helping anyone living with at least one chronic disease (such as heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, and other chronic physical conditions). It focuses on disease management skills, including decision making, problem solving, and action planning. It also includes symptom management activities like exercise, relaxation, communication, healthy eating, medication management, and fatigue management. Our next cohort starts on October 20!
