Sincerely had a WONDERFUL day at Biz 417 Think Summit today! 🤓 The speakers were thoughtful, evocative, knowledgeable, and passionate - they encouraged us to ask ourselves the hard questions like:
- How can we Make Space to be of service and connect to people different from us?
- How can we lean into humility & curiosity in leadership?
- Can we set our egos aside to be lifelong learners instead of experts?
- What does it mean to unravel how we’ve always related to others in the name of Trust and Connection instead of Survival?
- Have you considered the Secret Sexiness of Systems that support your wellbeing? (Spoiler: you’ll have to get though the awkward phase first 😅…)
- What would it take for you to own your narrative so hard that you embrace your humanity with love and compassion?
And guess what I realized about halfway through the day?
Leadership and yoga - they’re the same thing! 🤯 Both practices require humility, courage, self-compassion, lifelong learning, connection, support and mentorship, and self-discipline. 💪
I’m grateful to have strengthened my leadership skills on the mat and behind the (front) desk today too!
Extra special thank you to my team at Leadership Springfield for the invitation, professional development opportunity, and for being the best company! 🫶
If you attended the Think Summit today, I’d love to hear about your fave session or speaker! 🤔
