WHY IS MENTAL HEALTH IMPORTANT TO YOU?
I understand that when trying to help someone, nothing is more important than a person’s Mental Health. In a lot of ways, Mental Health is the origin of wellness/disease and a never-ending battle that might get easier, but doesn’t ever completely go away.

In one of my favorite movies Dune, there is a quote “fear is the mind killer." It’s the hardest thing in this life, but learning to accept trauma from our past and love ourselves is paramount to removing fear and growing as a person.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE BANDS?
My favorite music is Classic Rock, but I like every genre! I play a lot of Doors, Stones, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty, Billy Joel, Metallica, and Stevie Ray Vaughn in my office. Very Relaxing.

WHAT HELPS YOU DEAL WITH MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES?
When I hear the demons start to chirp and self-doubt creep in, I like to drown it out with hard work and great music. Nothing beats that feeling of accomplishment and the music helps to keep the mood light and energy up.

Springfield is lucky to have a special place like Balance Yoga and someone as caring as Angie Anderson Ryan! I was able to sneak in for a private session a couple weeks ago and just wanted to share my awesome experience. I love how much time she took with me getting me to relax with verbal cues for posture and breathing. Seriously an amazing 30mins for me! My hamstrings still feel great after coming in with tension and straining. I highly recommend this for people who are beginning yoga and for people who want something more advanced and tailored to them.
