In recognition of Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month, Simmons Cancer Institute partnered with Memorial Health and our ENT Head & Neck Cancer surgeons to provide free head and neck cancer screenings for employees at the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The collaboration across departments and institutions has one shared goal: early detection that can save lives.

Employees could step away from their workday and speak directly with fellowship-trained specialists, whether they had specific concerns or simply wanted peace of mind. Screenings like these play a vital role in identifying potential issues early, when treatment can be most effective.

We’re proud to support increased awareness and expand access to preventive cancer care in our community.

Staying healthy is about more than seeing your medical provider when you’re sick. It’s about catching issues early when they’re more treatable and before they
