Heather is methodical, reliable, and has a talent for keeping everything on track. And when the situation calls for it, she’s not afraid to be loud and assertive — in all the best ways. Whether it’s directing a critical patient to the back or ensuring the team gets the information they need, her strong voice and confident presence help keep everyone safe and moving efficiently.

Ally is meticulous in her work and has a calm, thoughtful presence that makes even the busiest shifts feel more manageable. Her dedication doesn’t stop when she clocks out, either — she completed her veterinary technician degree online while working full-time at AEC, showing just how driven and passionate she is about the field.

You can count on her for absolutely anything — whether it’s jumping into a fast-paced emergency, supporting a teammate, or taking on a new task without hesitation. Her reliability, focus, and drive make her an incredible asset to AEC.

Today we’re recognizing Taylor, who has been a dedicated member of the AEC team for many years. Coming to us from the day-practice world, she made the leap into emergency medicine and has truly excelled.
Taylor is an all-around skilled veterinary assistant. Her organization, reliability, and calm presence make even the busiest shifts run smoother. She has an incredible ability to anticipate the needs of our DVMs, often being two steps ahead during fast-paced cases — a skill that makes her invaluable on the ER floor.
She’s hardworking, compassionate, and always willing to jump in wherever she’s needed. On top of her technical skills, Taylor brings a positive, uplifting energy that makes her a joy to work with and a cherished member of our team.

💙 Next in Our Gratitude Series: Jeremiah! 💙

Today we’re celebrating Jeremiah, who has been part of AEC for many years and has truly worked his way through the ranks — from part-time assistant, to full-time, to now our Staff Manager.

Jeremiah keeps our hospital running smoothly in so many ways. He manages everyone’s schedules (which is no small task in emergency medicine!), making sure we’re staffed to give every patient the care they deserve. He plays a big role in training new team members, supporting them as they grow, and helping ensure protocols are followed so AEC stays efficient, safe, and organized.

And even with all those responsibilities, he still jumps in for patient care shifts whenever needed — a true team player who never hesitates to roll up his sleeves.

We’re so grateful for Jeremiah’s leadership, dedication, and willingness to go above and beyond for both our staff and our patients. AEC is stronger because of him. 🐾💙

💙 Next in Our Gratitude Series: Sarah! 💙

Today we’re recognizing Sarah, a hardworking and dependable veterinary assistant who has been part of AEC for many years. She fully embraces the night life, and you’ll almost always find her in the treatment area, giving round-the-clock care to our hospitalized patients.

Sarah’s nights are filled with making sure every pet is comfortable — clean, dry bedding, scheduled feedings, timely medications, and all the little details that help our patients rest and heal. Her job is nonstop, and she handles it with calm, care, and incredible dedication.

On top of all that, Sarah also manages our inventory, ensuring the hospital stays stocked with the medications and supplies we rely on every single day. It’s a huge responsibility, and she keeps everything running seamlessly behind the scenes.

We are so grateful for Sarah’s commitment, organization, and the compassionate care she gives to every patient who comes through our doors. AEC is better because she’s part of our team. 🐾💙

Today we’re thankful for Andy, who has been part of the AEC family for an incredible 11 years! She spent her first 8–9 years as a true night-shift warrior, and now we’re lucky to have her brightening up our day shifts.

Andy brings a bubbly, uplifting personality to every shift and truly can do it all — from answering phones and triaging emergencies, to assisting in exam rooms and caring for our hospitalized patients. No matter where she’s needed, she jumps in with enthusiasm, kindness, and a smile that makes even the busiest days better.

We’re so grateful for Andy’s dedication, versatility, and the positive energy she brings to our team. AEC wouldn’t be the same without her! 🐾💙

💙 Today in our Gratitude Series: Our Practice Manager, Chelsea! 💙

It’s the perfect week to celebrate her, too — it’s Practice Manager Appreciation Week!

Chelsea is the glue that keeps AEC running. She keeps us organized, supported, and functioning through the chaos that comes with emergency medicine. From keeping track of schedules and staffing, to managing the behind-the-scenes logistics that no one ever sees, to stepping in wherever she’s needed, she helps our team stay focused on what matters most — caring for pets and their families.

ER practice managers wear a lot of hats, and Chelsea handles them all with patience, strength, and a whole lot of heart. She helps guide our team through busy nights, tough cases, and everything in between, all while keeping morale up and the clinic moving forward.

We are so grateful for everything she does for our staff, our hospital, and our patients. Thank you, Chelsea, for being the steady hand in the storm and the support system our team can always count on. 🐾💙
