January is Poverty Awareness Month and our Book of the Month is "Maddi's Fridge." We visited our friends at our partnership school, A Touch of Nature Preschool, and our resident readers read this wonderful story of friendship and caring to the kids!

Today we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., his life, legacy and commitment to serving others inspired us in our Arrow Acts of Service Board. Our Ambassadors, wrote down and discussed ideas and got our Acts of Service for the whole year!

We enjoyed a wonderful speech from Dr. Zipporah Johnson-Burns from the NAACP and observed a moment of silence to reflect on the contributions of this great man and leader!

Today was Arrow's New Year, New Flavor's Sunday Brunch! Culinary outdid themselves with the menu! And the desserts!! What a feast!

What's a Happy Hour without a visit from the Jukebox Winos?! We always have a great time when they come around! Today we had a real delight with spicy appetizers! Not too hot, but very tasty with just a touch of heat. Food, friends and fun!

Our Assisted Living residents were treated to a presentation by Real Estate agent and Springfield Historian Richard Crabtree! He spoke on the history of Phelps Grove Park and had a lot to share with residents on the area! We will definitely invite him back!

January is National Poverty Awareness Month, so we had wonderful speakers in today from The Salvation Army! They spoke on the history and scope of the organization and the ways in which they help the community and how we can give back to them!" The residents loved hearing about them and meeting them!

Friday Happy Hours are a fun affair at The Fremont with a visit from Wes Dickinson! He helped us celebrate our January birthdays and the residents always have a great time when he's here! Thanks Wes!

Today the Assisted Living residents were treated to a wonderful surprise! A resident's musical family gave a free performance for us to enjoy! The Stevens Boys came to visit! Three little guys and their grandpa came and wowed us with their talent!

Today is Wednesday January 7th and the 42nd Day of Cheer! It was New Year, New You Wellness Wednesday and Also Orthodox Christmas!

At Wellness Wednesday our residents were treated to health checks, great information, hugs, and goodies from snacks, to jewelry, to pens and other grab and go items! Shout out to our wonderful care partners, St. Croix, First Call, Seasons Hospice, Empowerme and more!

We painted beautiful boats in keeping with an Orthodox Christmas Tradition and the residents enjoyed expressing themselves with their lovely creations!
