Today was The Chinese New Year! This cultural celebration is also known as The Spring Festival and is a 16 day celebration concluding March 3rd. It is the Year of the Fire Horse! We were excited to take our beautiful red envelopes to our school partnership, A Touch of Nature, so the children could take part! !

Today is Monday, February 16th and Chinese New Year's Eve! Our residents enjoyed the custom of putting "Gold coins" into the red envelopes as a special tradition in Chinese culture! The red color represents good luck and prosperity!

Today we were very honored to have Holocaust survivor Erika Schwartz come speak at our community. Even though she was delayed by weather previously, today she came and gave testimony to a packed house and all were touched by her story of resilience in one of humanity's darkest times.

Happy Valentine's Day! The Fremont Senior Living had Valentine's Boards up around our communities in honor of those the residents love! Residents placed heart felt messages and pictures in envelopes. It was a very special way to showcase feelings for those so dear to their hearts!

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, today Fremont Ambassadors Betty McCurley and DeAnn Holt were pleased to deliver these beautiful, hand crafted, valentine's for our February Act of Service recipient "Victory Missions".
