Midwest Charity Horse Show announces judges

Jan. 18, 2026, SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - Midwest Charity Horse Show is thrilled to announce its 85th annual show, June 9-13, 2026, in the Coliseum of Champions. Daily performances will be 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., with our distinguished panel of judges for Saddlebreds, Roadsters, Morgans, Equitation and Non-Rated/Open classes: Sandra Currier, Bellville, Texas; Matthew Roberts, Cave Creek, Ariz; and Kristin Stivers, Midway, Ky. Arabian and Non-Rated/Open judge will be Todd Otterman, Indianapolis, Ind.

The prize list and forms will be available, when completed, and entries will be accepted electronically through www.horseshowsonline.com. The schedule and list of hotels will be on Facebook as well.

We are grateful for and look forward to our sponsors’ and exhibitors’ continued support as it is more important than ever this year to put on a show of this caliber. Since its inception, the Midwest Charity Horse Show, an all-volunteer, nonsubsidized organization, has donated its annual proceeds to a Springfield area charity and has selected SIU School of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics as its beneficiary. Since 1987, Midwest Charity Horse Show Association (MCHSA) in partnership with SIU School of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics has been an integral part of helping children with chronic illnesses live happy, healthier lives. Proceeds from this year’s horse show help provide medication, overnight lodging, food and/or transportation for families whose child is receiving treatment. The MCHSA endowment has given more than $307,000 to SIU School of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics since 1987.

UPDATE: The show will not restart before 5:00 pm.

UPDATED:
We have a power outage at the facility due to fire/blown transformer on the Fairgrounds. Once replaced the Fairgrounds says 3-5 hours so we will not restart the show before 5:00 pm.

Once the Illinois State Fairgrounds powers back up, and they get the Fairgrounds paging systems working we will be able to restart the show.

We will keep you posted. Our apologies for the inconvenience. We appreciate all of you and the great horses, ponies and exhibitors attending our event.

We will have at least a thirty minute break between sessions and will adjust this evening’s schedule if necessary to follow USEF Guidelines.

Please allow repairs to be made without interrupting the electric service employees.
