"If I find in myself desires which nothing in this world can satisfy, the only logical explanation is that I was made for another world." - C.S. Lewis

I have a desire to see peace on Earth.

I have a desire for each and every human being to wake up to the fact that who they are is God - that we all are God together. That this entire reality and existence is the divine showing itself to itself. That we are just witnessing ourself as creation, from a vantage point called an individual human being.

I have a desire for people to see the divinity in each other. To look at each other through God's eyes. To hold back tears in awe of each other's light. To remember.

I have a desire for my love to be fully expressed. To be able to see past and set aside my egoic judgements, criticisms, wounds, and labels so that I can experience seeing people as God sees them.

I have a desire for each and every human being to discover, remember, and wake up to who they really are.

Every morning, I get on my knees and ask God to show me how to fulfill my desires. I ask God to give me the words that others need to hear. To answer prayers. To call in the people who are also waiting for the mothership to take them home.

If you are one of those people, you can come along with me as I try to find the words and tools to give others access to this remembering.

My Substack publication is where I do this. You can find the link in my comments.

Sending you love.

"To create something new is the ultimate act of hope. And I have come to believe it is also the ultimate act of defiance.

We are often told that resistance means fighting what already exists. Protesting, pushing back, refusing. But what we resist, persists. The thing we are in opposition to continues to define the shape of our energy and our days. Our resistance gives it mass.

True defiance is something else entirely. It is making something new. Something wholly your own. That is what is available to the Mothers and Creatrixes of the world: the parts of all of us that refuse to accept that the future must look like the past."

The Mother and The Creatrix are two sides of the same coin.

The Mother is not only the woman who raises children. She is the part of every woman that wants to nurture, protect, and bring something to life. She is the keeper of the hearth. The one who creates safety and warmth so that others can grow.

The Mother archetype is present in the woman who grows a child in her body, and is also present in the woman who grows a community, a garden, a business, a creative body of work, or a conscious life. She is the part of you that knows instinctively how to tend, nourish, and cultivate the conditions in which life can flourish.

Similar to The Creatrix, she does not create by force either, but with devotion.

My Substack publication, She Who Makes, is written to catalyze the Creatrix - the woman divinely called to bring something wholly her own into the world with devotion. You can subscribe for free at the link in my comments.

Some of the downloads available in my paid subscriber vault:

↠ Opening To Divine Inspiration: A workbook on how to open your creative channel and bring something forth into existence. (My #1 most popular download. It’s free and available to everyone.)

↠ Inner Authority Workbook: Become the authority on your own life and align your life with your values.

↠ Holistic Healing Self-Reflection Guide: Audit yourself on my five pillars of holistic health in your life. (Physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, relational.)

↠ My Favorite Things Workbook: Become the woman who is clear about what she wants — it makes you harder to manipulate, exhaust, and convince that you want something else. t's the beginning of knowing yourself and reclaiming your sovereignty.

↠ Coming up: On the Full Moon (May 1st) I’m sharing my Planning By Design system: a sacred productivity framework I designed for myself and have been iterating inside Coven. It took hours to build, weeks to refine, and real women to test it. It balances structure with surrender, it’s rooted in Human Design, and it’s a highly practical way to ensure your calendar reflects your intentions. My most valuable tool to date. I can’t wait to get it in your hands.

2 years married. Celebrated with a little weekend getaway full of art and food. Came home more in love than when we left.

I think my favorite thing about us is how much we talk. We never seem to run out of things to say. And we laugh a lot.

And also how much we eat. That is also my favorite.

To another year of learning and growing together.

The woman who knows what she loves is harder to manipulate, harder to exhaust, and harder to convince she should want something other than what she actually wants.

Knowing your favorites isn't a small thing. It's the beginning of knowing yourself and reclaiming your sovereignty.

I made a list of mine. It was so fun and clarifying, I made you a workbook to make yours.

Both are in this week's post on She Who Makes, my Substack where I write about exploring your inner landscape, conscious creation, and building a life that actually feels like yours. For $8/month, paid subscribers get two downloads, the kind of resources I normally reserve for 1:1 clients, plus access to my community chat. (Two personal essays and a Creatrix Conversation interview each month are open to free subscribers.)

This morning I woke up naturally after 8.5 hours of sleep to the sounds of birds chirping and my husband bustling around downstairs. Realizing I was awake, my dog came to nudge my hand, excited and playful. I have a full day of nourishing work planned, and a fridge full of food prepped for home cooked meals.

I’ve done things a little late in life, according to the status quo. I got sober at 27 and had to start learning emotional regulation and healthy boundaries in my 30s. I found the love of my life at 35. I started opening my heart and body to a baby at 38. I’ve changed careers several times and I’m not done exploring what my work can look like.

But my life is really good, and it’s not an accident. I created this life and I’ve gone through a lot of pain and heartache to get here: addiction, divorce, career pains, financial struggles, miscarriage, existential dread, failure.

Now, I’m working on teaching my body and mind that it is safe to be loved, held, and calm. That I don’t need to create chaos to feel alive. That I don’t need to create big mountains to climb. That the steady rhythm of a happy, slow life is enough.

I’ve heard someone say that boredom is a very high state of being. It means that you are out of survival, in a routine, and have space to think and create.

So today, I am wishing for you and for myself, a whole lot of boredom!

The magic of community on Substack:

has a wonderful community on Substack, active in her subscriber chat. One of her prompts was to share about yourself and see if you’d like to be penpals with anyone in the community.

I snagged two lovely penpals from that thread. One of them, Chasity, recently posted a photo from her new hobby: flower shopping Saturdays. I chimed in that I was inspired and was going to steal that hobby.

Then, to my surprise and DELIGHT, Chasity sent me these beautiful peonies for my birthday, just in time for flower shopping Saturday!

Every time I walk by them, these gorgeous blooms remind me how beautiful communities of women are, and how lucky I am to have met so many amazing women on Substack. ❤️💐

(If you aren't familiar with Substack, it's a content platform for newsletter / blog style posts mixed with shorter form notes. Publications can have free and paid content, and some have community chats. It's where I'm now sending my free newsletters from in addition to some paid content that I normally reserve for 1:1 clients like downloads, guides, workbooks, and meditations.)

I have been loving the platform - meeting many kindred souls and getting a lot of inspiration on living a created life. You can find content for any interest. Run don't walk!

I have been talking to so many women lately who are beating themselves up for not being “disciplined” enough…

Whether it is with what they are eating, how they are exercising, how they’re showing up at work, or keeping their home tidy, it’s the same conversation.

For years I was very disciplined and rigorous. I focused on integrity and doing what I said I’d do, no matter what. It burned me out and left me feeling so depleted and disconnected from my essence.

Now, I’m feeling repulsed by that energy.

I’m in my soft girl era. I’m interested in slowness, spaciousness, gentleness. Who's with me?

----------
If this resonates, come find me on Substack. If you haven't heard of it: it's a newsletter platform, and it's become my favorite place on the internet. (Think: long-form, rich content. Connections that lead to analog penpals. No more reels that rot your brain.)

I’ve been keeping a dream journal lately, to capture the dreams that leave an impression.

In the morning, I journal about them and sift through my subconscious.

For anyone new to dream interpretation, you want to think about:

-What do these people, situations, or locations represent to me in symbology?
-What in my life is this symbol trying to nudge me about?

It’s been really helpful to combine my dream journaling with my therapy journey to better understand myself and what’s going on beneath the surface. It’s part of how I love myself better and explore my inner landscape.

Bonus: The more you pay attention to your dreams, the easier it gets for you to practice lucid dreaming (if interested).

Do you have any experience with lucid dreaming?
