The American Academy of Pediatrics now advises against sleep training before 12 months. Research shows that forcing babies to sleep alone too early can disrupt attachment and the development of their nervous system. During the first year, babies need proximity to caregivers to feel safe and secure.

Sleeping in the parents’ room is more than convenience. It provides constant reassurance, allowing the infant’s nervous system to learn safety and stability. This closeness supports emotional regulation, stress management, and secure bonding, all of which are foundational for long-term mental and emotional health.

Babies who are left alone too soon may experience heightened stress responses, making it harder for them to self-soothe and regulate emotions later. Proximity during sleep wires the brain to understand that the world is predictable and safe.

Parents can implement safe room-sharing by keeping the crib or bassinet next to the bed, maintaining a firm sleep surface, and avoiding loose bedding. This setup allows babies to sleep safely while staying close enough to benefit from the calming presence of their caregivers.

Remember, proximity is not spoiling. It is a biological necessity that helps babies thrive. Safe closeness today builds confident, resilient children tomorrow.

When a mother’s spine is realigned to its proper position, something incredible happens. ✨

A symphony of physiological responses begins—muscles relax, ligaments balance, and the nervous system communicates more clearly with the rest of the body.

This restored connection supports better adaptation, more comfort, and a healthier environment for both mom and baby.
The body knows exactly what to do when communication is flowing freely. 💛

For every parent who has been marginalized or felt unseen…

*Thank you for our friends at 417 Integrative Medicine who have the scope of practice allowing them to legally have an opinion on vaccinations. We believe nothing is ever “one size fits all” and every parent should have agency over their children’s bodies.

The CDC made a big update to the language on the vaccines safety page, noting that the claim “vaccine do not cause autism” is not evidence-based because studies have not ruled out all possibilities.

👉 What this does not mean:
That a direct cause between autism and vaccines has been identified.

👉 What it does mean:
Autism is complex, multifactorial, and deeply individual, and as it stands today, studies cannot confidently state that vaccines and autism are not correlated.

We know that every family’s journey with autism is unique. Many neurodivergent children that we support experience high inflammation, impaired detox pathways, gut imbalance, and nutrient depletion, all of which can influence behavior, development, and overall health.

This update reflects what many parents have felt but didn’t always feel safe to say: questions are valid, period.

As parents, you know your child best. As always, we are here to support families with evidence-informed, compassionate care! 🩺💙

Chiropractic can do so much more during pregnancy than eliminate unnecessary pain.
It also has a deep and lasting impact on a mother’s emotional well-being.

When the spine is aligned and the nervous system is clear, the body communicates better, adapts better, and feels better. This creates space for calmer moods, improved regulation, and a greater sense of confidence throughout pregnancy.

A regulated nervous system supports not only physical health—but emotional resilience, connection, and peace. ✨

Based on a Duke University study published in Science Advances in 2019, growing a baby is energetically comparable to or more demanding than running a marathon every day for 9 months. The study found that pregnancy pushes the human body to its metabolic limits over a long duration, in a way that is similar to elite endurance events but sustained for much longer.

Energy costs during pregnancy:

Pregnancy is an extreme feat of endurance because the body works constantly to grow a new human, even at rest.

📑Total calories: Pregnancy requires an additional 50,000 dietary calories over nine months. The mother’s body provides 96% of this energy.

📑Cardiovascular demand: To support the growing baby, a woman’s blood volume can increase by 30 to 50 percent, and her heart rate increases by 10 to 15 beats per minute.

📑Metabolic demands: The body’s resting energy use can rise by up to 30%, meaning it works much harder even when stationary.

While a marathon is a discrete event, pregnancy is a continuous process of biological transformation. The comparison highlights the total metabolic output over the long term. A woman’s heart, lungs, and metabolism work overtime every day for nine months, making pregnancy one of the most intense and sustained physical challenges a human body can undergo.

Chiropractic care isn’t about treating disease; it’s about supporting your child’s natural ability to heal, grow, and thrive.

When the spine is misaligned, it can create stress in the nervous system, disrupting communication between the brain and body. This lowers resilience and makes it harder for kids to adapt to everyday challenges.

From birth onward, physical, emotional, and even chemical stress can affect spinal alignment—think falls, sports, posture, or simply the stress of growing up. Over time, these imbalances may contribute to lowered immunity, restless sleep, or recurring colds.

Gentle pediatric chiropractic adjustments help remove that interference, restoring balance so the nervous system can work as it’s designed to. When the body is in harmony:
✨ Immune function improves
✨ Sleep becomes more restful
✨ Energy and adaptability return
✨ Kids thrive

Chiropractic care is a safe, natural way to support optimal growth and lifelong wellness. 💜
