Psalm 27:14 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!” Just like God's people waited on the arrival of the Messiah. We now wait for his second coming. What are you waiting for? Waiting can be hard, but remember that God’s mighty and sovereign hand is in control. Do not grow weary. God is with you and he is working.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) The arrival of this Son is seen at Christmas.

There may be times when you do not feel loved by God. Seasons might come when you doubt that he is good, when you question if He is with you, and if He is trustworthy. When those seasons come, remember Christmas. He loved you so much he came after you by sending Jesus to born of a virgin, live a perfect life, die on a cross in our place, and raise from the dead conquering sin and death making a way for us back to God. This is the greatest act of love the world has ever seen. You are loved.

Isaiah 7:14 says, "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." Immanuel means "God with us."
