“Clubhouses saved my life.”

Robert Wild, a member of Star Light Center, has been part of the Clubhouse community for 20 years. When he first joined, he was recovering from years of mental health challenges and deep isolation. Through the Clubhouse, Robert found connection, purpose, and the support he needed to rebuild his life.

Today, Robert is a trained Clubhouse International Faculty member who travels to accredit Clubhouses, serves on multiple mental health boards in Western Massachusetts, and shares his recovery story to inspire others. From getting help with resumes to gaining the confidence to speak in front of large audiences, Robert continues to grow, proving that with the right community, people can reclaim their future.

Viability’s Youth Career Readiness programs support students ages 14 to 22 who are living with a disability as they move from school into adult life. Students explore career options, build work habits, and gain skills for success. Programs across Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island provide classroom learning and real-world vocational experiences.

A new year can be a good time to connect with support. Viability’s Adult Family Care program helps people who care for an adult living with a disability or medical need at home. Eligible caregivers may receive a tax-free monthly stipend, training, and guidance from our team so they can provide safe daily care with confidence.
