Today we had to make the hardest decision and say goodbye to our Precious.
She was my soul dog, my constant, my comfort, my girl for 16 beautiful years.
She knew nothing but love, and I hope she felt how deeply loved she was right up until the end as I held her when she took her last breath.
Thank you for all the memories, the loyalty, and the unconditional love. I will carry you with me always. 🐾🌈

Last night we learned that after the holidays, my dad will be heading to Barnes-Jewish Hospital for evaluation for a heart transplant and/or LVAD. This journey will include days (possibly weeks) of testing and appointments as doctors determine the best possible path forward.

We are so thankful for this next step and for every message, prayer, and bit of support that has lifted our family during this time. ❤️
