Emotional growth doesn't feel like perfection.
It feels like grace.

It feels like looking at yourself and saying —
"I'm not where I want to be, but I'm not where I was."

Growth doesn't shame you for the process.
It gives you permission to be human.
Still learning. Still healing. Still becoming.

You don't have to have it all together to be moving forward.
God isn't grading you — He's growing you. 🙏

"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
— Romans 8:1

Emotional growth isn't silent. 🤍
It has a new sound.

It sounds like honesty when it's easier to hide.
It sounds like humility when pride wants to win.
It sounds like TRUST — even when you don't have all the answers.

It sounds like grace over guilt.
Compassion over criticism.
And a quiet confidence that says...

*God isn't finished with me yet.*

I am human. Still being shaped. Still being refined.
And that's not a flaw in the story — that's the point of it. 🙌

"He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion."
— Philippians 1:6

Emotional growth isn't about going numb. 🙏

It's about becoming HONEST with what you feel,
STEADY in who God made you,
and BRAVE enough to take the next right step
— even when it's hard.

Feelings aren't the enemy. Unexamined feelings are.

Grow through it. Don't just go through it. 💛

Psalm 62:8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.

Worship Wednesdays: In what ways has God revealed where you were seeking the approval of others instead of trusting His approval?

One of the greatest sources of anxiety and insecurity is the need for approval.

We ask ourselves questions like:
Do they like me?
Did I say the wrong thing?
What are they thinking about me?
Am I disappointing someone?

Who are you ultimately living to please?

The more we chase the approval of people,
the more trapped we become by their expectations.

But when our focus shifts to pleasing God, something changes. We are free to be the people God desires for us to be and do what God has asked us to do.

Worship Wednesdays: How have you experienced God's help with fear?

Fear weaves itself in small moments of everyday life:

Fear of failing at something important
Fear of not being enough
Fear of disappointing people you love
Fear of making the wrong decision
Fear that life isn’t going the way you hoped
Fear of losing control of your situation
Fear of being misunderstood
Fear that things won’t get better
Fear of being rejected
Fear of being alone
Fear of losing someone you love
Fear of conflict or confrontation
Fear of being truly known by others

But the God of heaven and earth is with us every moment of everyday. Seek Him.

You’re dependable.
You show up.
You carry more than most people realize.

And you rarely let it show.

But your mind won’t slow down.
You replay conversations.
You overthink decisions.
You feel responsible for everyone else’s emotions.

That’s exhausting.

This isn’t just stress — it’s a pattern.
And it won’t fix itself by waiting it out.

It’s worth understanding.

If you’re ready to understand why you feel this way — and actually change it —

You handle a lot.

Work.
Family.
Expectations.

But something feels off.

You’re more frustrated than you used to be.
More distant.
Less patient.

You don’t need to be falling apart
to admit something isn’t working.

And it won’t change by pushing through it.

If you’re ready to deal with what’s underneath it —

→ Start your new client account & book your first conversation. https://www.mcguirechristiancounseling.com/new-clients
