Consumer Spotlight: Honoring Robert Farr’s 29 Years of Dedication
A Legacy of Possibility: Celebrating Robert Farr’s Retirement
On October 31, 2025, The Arc of Union County’s Workforce Development and Employment Services – Extended Employment Program celebrated the retirement of a true cornerstone of our community: Robert Farr, who concluded an incredible 29-year journey of service, dedication, and joy.
At 71 years old, Robert leaves behind a legacy defined by consistency, pride, and heart. Every morning, he arrived at Extended Employment Program with purpose and energy, ready to contribute and connect. His work ethic was unmatched, and his spirit was infectious—he was often described as “the light of the party,” bringing laughter, warmth, and wisdom to every room he entered.
Robert often shared that coming to work was the highlight of his day. “I love seeing my peers,” he said. “Engaging with them makes me happy.” That sense of solidarity and servant leadership shaped his nearly three-decade career. He didn’t just perform his duties, he elevated them, proving that with determination and heart, everything is possible.
When asked about his plans for retirement, Robert smiled and said, “Sleep late, watch my favorite show, and hopefully volunteer in the community to keep myself occupied.” Even in retirement, his desire to serve and stay connected remains a strong testament to the values he lived every day.
He will be deeply missed. Robert’s story is one of quiet triumph and enduring impact. We thank him for his years of service, his laughter, and his example. May his next chapter be filled with rest, joy, and new opportunities to shine.
