An updated about me and what I do 💫
I’ve now been a working and licensed massage therapist for almost 2 years and my passion for therapeutic touch and bodywork continues to grow and evolve with each person I work with.
Since completing my schooling I’ve dove deeper into my studies with multiple continuing education courses in Thai massage as well as Massage Treatment for TMJ Dysfunction. When I have hands-off hours, I dedicate time to reading, researching, and listening to podcasts pertaining to my field of work. I think it's extremely important to be a forever student. This year I've done quite a but of self-study into the work of Tom Myers Anatomy Trains as well as Clinical Neuromuscular Techniques of the Lower Body written by Leon Chaitow. I have some things in the works for the future that will hopefully be expanding my education into a new-to-me certification of bodywork near the end of 2026!
My mission is to be a facilitator for people to find relief and enjoyment in their own bodies. Ultimately, I want my clients to live a more pain-free, stress-free, beautiful life💫 I work with a variety of folks; those dealing with chronic pain conditions, persons with hyper-mobility conditions, mental health conditions that affect daily living, post-operative or post-injury, musculoskeletal and structural conditions such as; scoliosis, winging scapula, whiplash etc, athletes, medical workers and caretakers, service workers, prenatal and postpartum, persons dealing with TMJ dysfunction and more. I believe that everyone needs bodywork in their life, the results of both preventative care and acute care can be life-changing.
I work with the body in a holistic way; factoring in mind, body, and emotions into overall care and treatment. I strive to provide personalized care by being present and actively listening to your needs. I adapt my approach to sessions on a case-by-case basis, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth in my practice.
My massages are heavily anatomy based without being overly clinical. I like to live in the therapeutically delicious realm where you can get all the wonderful benefits of pure relaxation as well as a very thorough soft tissue treatment. Each session is unique and customized with the client’s specific goals at the forefront.
When I'm not working, I'm spending my time being a mom to a wild toddler! I enjoy spending time outdoors; jogging, walking, kayaking, or biking. I love going to yoga classes and dancing. Relaxation time often looks like time spent reading or catching up on my shows (I'm currently obsessed with ER and The Pitt).
I'm a rock and mineral enthusiast. I love a good shiny or fossil (or both if I'm lucky!)🌀I'm an IFSP, Libra Sun/Gemini Moon/ Aquarius Rising, and a Generator + Sacral Authority (for my Human Design nerds). I’m incredibly interested in human psychology and learning about how the mind operates. And I love to find unique things second-hand and frequent the local flea markets as often as I can.
I'm excited about the work that I offer as a Massage Therapist and absolutely love what I do. I find myself very fortunate to have so much joy in a career. Witnessing the results that happen and helping people get in touch with their bodies is my highest passion. 🫶
