🎉 It’s the first of 2026, and the weekend is in sight!

To celebrate, we’re sharing a Change a Life Challenge story. Last December, we provided 50 individuals with $100 to encourage kindness. These stories are proof that small acts can have a powerful impact!

Here is Amy E.'s story:
"I work for Willard Intermediate South school as a lunch lady. We service 5th & 6th grades on the northwest side of Springfield . I always try to help out the kids at our school in any way I can. I buy school lunches when kids get overdrawn. I adopted 3 children for our Christmas gifts program, and with the $100, I asked our Essential Skills teacher what she needed for her classroom to help her kids . She picked out several learning and sensory items that will help her class learn more this year. They got 4 toys for the $100, and I also gave her a $100 Amazon card to help with all the needs they have."

We had the honor of presenting Toni G., our Change a Life 2025 Grand Prize Winner, with her $2,000 check.

Toni’s creativity and heart turned a simple challenge into a powerful act of generosity, showing how, when we work together, we can make a big impact.

Toni also shared plans to continue her mission by supporting the Springfield Humane Society and helping create a brighter Christmas for seniors in local nursing homes.

To everyone who participated - thank you for showing up with such great ideas to spread kindness. We're grateful to be part of a community that believes in changing lives together.

✨ We’re thrilled to announce our Change a Life 2025 Grand Prize Winner - Toni G.! ✨

When challenged to change a life with $100, Toni didn’t just rise to the occasion; she multiplied it through creativity, community, and compassion.

Toni shared her story in her own words:
“When challenged to change a life with $100, I didn't feel that was possible in today's economy. So, I came up with an idea. I went around soliciting for donations from people and businesses to create, what I named, ‘The Giving Gift Basket.’ Everything I received was free of charge. I received a $100 Amazon gift card, $50 VISA gift card, $25 certificates for Price Cutter, Starbucks and McDonald's gift cards, plus donations from a winery and so much more to list. I then decided to raise money by selling raffle tickets for the gift basket. Tickets were $5 each, 5 tickets for $20 or a wingspan for $50. I spoke to everyone I know and sold a lot of tickets. Final total raised was $1,135. With the proceeds, I went to the Branson school district office and paid off past due school lunch balances. We calculated, and we helped 32 kids catch up on lunch balances... If I win the Challenge, I plan to take the $1,000 as follows: $500 to the Springfield Humane Society and $500 to adopt Seniors at the local nursing homes for Christmas.”

Through her generosity, 32 children were able to catch up on their school lunch balances, providing financial relief to many local families. This serves as a powerful reminder that kindness can ripple far beyond its starting point. We see this same spirit every day through the participants who make our studies possible.

Every story we received was filled with incredible acts of generosity and heart, making it extremely difficult for our team to choose one winner.

💙 A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated and helped prove that even $100 can truly change lives. We hope the spirit of giving sparked through this challenge doesn’t stop here, but continues to inspire acts of kindness, both big and small, throughout our community. At Clinvest, we’re passionate about changing lives through research, and we’re reminded time and again that when you look for ways to make a difference for others, you’re often changed for the better, too.

A big congratulations to Heather Manley, our Site Director, for co-authoring a new study that explores how non-traditional, community-embedded research sites, known as frontier sites, can help address the industry’s growing capacity challenges.

The research, conducted through the Site Enablement League (SEL) Task Force, shows that frontier sites offer meaningful opportunities to reach underserved populations and expand trial access. Survey findings point to clear benefits in participant diversity and community engagement, alongside operational and compliance challenges that require targeted support.

This work, published in Contemporary Clinical Trials Communications, lays the foundation for developing a future industry playbook to successfully integrate frontier sites into clinical trial operations.

How you use the money is entirely up to you!
