neba empowers individuals with disabilities and other barriers to be fully included in their communities through sustainable employment opportunities, while providing businesses with the tools to be more inclusive.

Awareness begins with understanding and grows through community. At neba, we believe individuals with autism and developmental disabilities don’t just benefit from inclusive communities but they shape them. ✨

Together, we learn more, grow stronger, and build a world where every person is valued, supported, and included. 🌍

Earth Day is a reminder that growth starts with care.

Care for our environment.
Care for our communities.
Care for the shared spaces that connect us all.

From planting something new to supporting the places and people around us, small actions can create lasting impact. A healthier planet. Stronger communities. A more sustainable future for everyone.

Growth isn’t just about what we build—it’s about what we nurture.

The symbols we use matter—because they shape how we see and understand one another.

For many years, the puzzle piece has been associated with autism. But today, more voices are calling for representations that reflect dignity, acceptance, and the full humanity of autistic individuals.

At neba, we believe growth starts with listening—and with being willing to evolve.

This Autism Acceptance Month, we invite you to explore why many are moving beyond the puzzle piece and what more inclusive representation can look like.

Growth doesn’t always look big at first. Sometimes, it’s showing up. Trying something new. Taking that next step, even when it feels uncertain.

At neba, we exist to support those moments—helping individuals build skills, gain confidence, and move toward meaningful employment at their own pace. Because when given the right support, small steps can lead to lasting opportunity. 🌱

Temple Grandin reminds us that striving for growth is part of human nature.

In fact, at neba, we celebrate the drive within every individual we get to support towards success. We get to help transform determination into opportunity and personal achievement. 💙

Last April, we spoke out.

In response to harmful and inaccurate narratives about autism, we shared a message that still matters today: autistic individuals are not burdens. They are people with strengths, potential, and every right to dignity, respect, and opportunity.

As we recognize Autism Acceptance Month, that message feels just as urgent.

But acceptance is more than words.
It is growth.
It is opportunity.
It is action.

At neba, we see that growth every day.
In the skills being built.
In the confidence taking root.
In the workplaces becoming more inclusive.

And in the opportunities that open when people are truly seen and supported.

Autism acceptance means moving beyond outdated assumptions and making space for people to thrive - in their own way, on their own terms.

This April, we invite you to revisit this message and join us in continuing the work:

Because when we choose dignity, we create opportunity.
And when opportunity grows, so does inclusion.

April is all about growth and opportunity—and stories like this show exactly what that looks like in action.

Through Project SEARCH, neba is helping individuals build real-world skills, confidence, and independence as they transition from school to the workplace. Programs like this create meaningful pathways forward—where potential turns into progress and opportunity becomes reality.

Mindset drives results. 💡

In and out of the workforce, having the open mindset to believe in peopel, in potential, and in inclusion creates pathways to success.

At neba, we focus on what CAN be done. That means supporting individuals entering a new work field as they build confidence, skills, and meaningful positions.

We’re excited to announce that neba is launching a brand new program where participants can instantly master every job skill overnight… no training required.

…April Fools! 😊

At neba, we know real growth doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time, support, and practice—but every step forward builds confidence and opens the door to new opportunities. This spring, we’re celebrating the progress, persistence, and momentum that lead to meaningful employment. 🌱

As March comes to a close, we’re reflecting on what Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM) really means..

The message is opportunity, inclusion, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities.

But for us at neba, this work isn’t just something we recognize for one month; it’s what we show up for every single day.

1️⃣It’s in the job opportunities created.
2️⃣The independence built.
3️⃣The relationships formed.
4️⃣The small wins that turn into big milestones.

This year’s theme, “We’re Here: Then, Now, Always,” couldn’t be more true.

We’re proud to be part of a community that continues to grow, include, and support YEAR-round. 💙

[Video opens on a young woman standing in a warmly lit restaurant setting wearing a neutral-toned apron and writing in a small notepad. She appears focused and calm, glancing down as she carefully records information. As she writes, the words “March Is Developmental Disability Awareness Month” appears on screen, signaling a transition.

The scene shifts to a clean, white background featuring a black-and-white group photo of smiling individuals seated together. Above them, text reads: “Supporting Inclusive Employment Opportunities Since 1983.”

Scene cuts to a black and white image of a conference room with neba’s original business logo on the screen above it.

The video transitions to a black and white image of a diverse group gathered around a conference table, the word “Then” appears. They are engaged in discussion, suggesting collaboration and the organization’s early efforts to build inclusive workplaces.

The video transitions to a color group photo of staff members standing together outdoors, smiling in front of a sign displaying neba’s new logo.

The word “Now” appears in the middle of the screen as the screen splits between two modern professional settings. In the top portion, a man and woman work together at a desk while the bottom depicts a young man taking orders at a cafe. The images fade to the top picture being replaced by a young man working at a cash register and the bottom photo of a woman writing on paper while another woman is next to her. These images then fade to a man in business attire sits at a desk, smiling confidently while the bottom portion, another individual smiles in a casual setting.]
