We send our deepest condolences to the Christian County Sheriff's Office, who are mourning the tragic loss of these two deputies killed in the line of duty. Deputy Gabriel Ramirez and Deputy Michael Hislope served their community with honor, and we grieve with the family, friends, and fellow officers across Christian County, Webster Co, Stone Co. and the surrounding departments who are deeply affected by this.

Garrett was involved in a serious ATV accident in late 2024 and spent three weeks in the hospital but thankfully made a full recovery. Recently, he met with the flight crew members who provided life-saving care during his emergency transport.

We're grateful Garrett reached out, allowing us to meet him and his lovely family! His story serves as a genuine inspiration to all of us!

If you have a student between the ages of 14 and 20, we encourage you to explore Cox Health's Medical Explorers program to help determine if a healthcare career is a good fit.
