In honor of Native American Heritage Month, our community took time today to learn and reflect together. We watched A Conversation with Native American Artist Reuben IronHorse-Kent (link in comments) and had the special opportunity to dedicate one of his handcrafted clay pieces to our library at The Montvale Senior Living.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to celebrate Native American art, history, and storytelling—and for the meaningful conversations it sparked during our second day of 42 Days of Holiday Cheer.

We had a wonderful visit with the students of Faith First Homeschool Academy today for our November Story Corner. In recognition of Native American Heritage Month, we read a book called This Land, completed a themed coloring page, played with dolls that matched the story, and distributed treat bags for the students to enjoy later. This is a new partnership for us, and we’re excited to see it grow.

We had a blast with the Springfield Ceramics and Crafts Club today! They provided all the supplies and showed us how to create stencil paintings. It’s always fun to make something new with friends.
