**Have you ever been so consumed by worry that you felt like a heart attack waiting to happen?**
That was me. About 9 or 10 years into building my business in an area where nobody knew me, going to every meeting I was invited to, grinding every single day.
Then one Saturday morning at 6:30am, God stopped me in my tracks.
I had been up since 4:00am to get to an event and set up my table. Standing there in the quiet, He asked me where He was in my life.
I told Him, "God, Sundays are my only day off. I just want to sleep in and do nothing."
He didn't let that slide.
"You can get up at 4:00 on a Saturday, but you can't get up for a 10:45 service on a Sunday? Isn't that sleeping in?"
Ouch.
Then He asked, "Where am I in your business?"
I actually chuckled and said, "God, you should know this already, but in business you don't talk politics or religion."
He simply asked, "Whose does it belong to?"
That one stopped me cold.
I had been trying to make everything work through my own abilities, not His. So I got up and went to church.
A few weeks later my pastor preached on the words of Jesus: *"Do not worry."*
My jaw dropped. All I did was eat, live, and breathe worry.
Then it hit me. That is a command. Not a suggestion. **DO NOT WORRY.**
From that day on I started learning how to actually hand it over to Him.
Next post I will share exactly what that looked like.
Have you ever been at that point where the worry was running your life? Drop a comment below. I would love to hear from you.
