Turkey & dressing was on the menu today across the district!
At Effingham County Middle School alone, nearly 1,000 meals were served to students, parents, and staff. Our amazing cafeteria team absolutely knocked it out of the park, with an assist from the School Nutrition Central Office crew.

Straight from the garden at Honey Ridge Agricenter the first harvest from the first grade field trips. 25 pounds of mustard greens and 13 pounds of kale. These are being cleaned and prepped for service in the cafeteria.

All week long, our cafeterias will be serving up flavors from around the world — no passport (or TSA line) required. Get ready to sample international dishes, discover new favorites, and celebrate the incredible variety that makes school lunch something to look forward to!

Did you know that we serve many GA Grown items in our school meals? We serve Gold Creek chicken products, fresh chicken wings from Claxton Chicken, sausage links from Hunter Cattle Company, honey from Studier's Honeypot, and apples from Aaron Family Orchards all year in all of our school cafeterias. Many other local items are served throughout the year.

We want to give a loud SHOUT OUT to the crew at Blandford Elementary Blue Jay Cafe. They have been on their A game this year with exceptional trays, participating in special events (check out these photos of World School Milk Day and Johnny Appleseed day) and their commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere through their cafeteria decorations. Their manager Mrs. Scruggs expresses her sincere appreciation for consistently delivering exceptional service to the students with a warm smile and gracious hearts. Thank you for all that you do to enrich our students lives!
