Families often ask what safety looks like inside our facility.

As we continue the conversation around patient safety, we're highlighting another example: the clothing patients wear while they're on our units.

Patients are welcome to bring their own clothing, but for safety reasons items with drawstrings and cords aren't permitted. Our Admissions and Referral team can walk families through what items are permitted and what should be left at home when a child is being admitted.

It's one of the many ways our team works every day to create a safe, supportive space where healing can happen.

Medication safety is one of the most important - and often unseen - parts of patient care.

As part of Patient Safety Awareness Week, our pharmacist shares how careful medication management helps protect the patients we serve every day.

From verifying the right medication and dosage to reviewing potential interactions and educating families, pharmacists play an essential role in maintaining a safe treatment environment.

It's one of the many ways our team works together to ensure every patient receives thoughtful, safe, and effective care.

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 18 years of heart, dedication, and unwavering purpose πŸ’š

Today we celebrate Jeff Zike, BHT Lead, for 18 awesome years at Lincoln Prairie. Since we opened our doors in 2008, Jeff has been a steady presence through every season of growth and change.

While a lot has evolved over the years, his why has remained the same: the kids.

β€œThese kids are going through something traumatic. If I’m able to help them in any small way, that in itself is very rewarding for me.”

Jeff, thank you for showing up every day with compassion, strength, and a heart for our patients and staff. You are appreciated!
