💙 Meet David & Johanna, whose story is featured in Randy Bacon’s upcoming documentary The Soft Surrender, executive produced by us here at Hospice Foundation for Outreach.

David, who is living with ALS, communicates with his family and loved ones using a Tobii device—and his sharp wit and humor shine through every word. The love, faith, and resilience between David and Johanna is nothing short of inspiring. Their journey reminds us that while life brings challenges, it also brings moments of grace, connection, and the importance of living fully in each day.

We are honored to help share their story through this film, which premieres November 1, 2025 at the Gillioz Theatre. 🎬

Mikaela, the administrator and Ryleigh, the social worker at Regional Hospice visited Lost and Found Grief Center in Springfield. We were warmly welcomed and given a tour of their BEAUTIFUL facility! They provide grief support for people of all ages and especially do a wonderful job supporting children! We want to thank Lost and Found Grief Center for allowing us to partner with them in supporting our community.
