Did you know the benefits of a good night's rest? Sleep is so important to me. A restful sleep, not tossing and turning.

I'm happy to say that I sleep an average of 7-8 hours every night. I do not move, only to get up the one time for the restroom.

I wake up feeling great! No aches or pains. Mind clear. Excited about my day. There are so many things you can do to have this for yourself.

️ ✔️Dark room
✔️No blue light before sleep, meaning no scrolling on phone or tablet.
✔️A consistent bed time makes a difference.
✔️No violence or listening to the news before bed.
✔️A night time prayer.
✔️Some like to journal a few things to be grateful for.
✔️Stopping fluids 1-2 hours before bed
✔️Exercise

Just a few to mention. We are all different, as you know. Only suggestions. I'm open to hear what works for you. 💤😴

Realizing this more and more each day. I tend to think I need to do more since I work from home.

Reminder to myself: I always had 2 breaks and an entire lunch hour when I worked at my job of over 30 years. What would possibly make me think I don't need at least a little of this now?
More time. Do more things. No longer! Scheduling my time with myself during each day. Believe it or not I have the energy to do MANY things throughout my day. Hence, why I do more.

Scheduled exercise times and scheduled rest. My meditation time. Time to read my many books. Walks at the park. Hikes. It makes all the difference in how I feel at the end of day when implementing these things. It calms my nervous system.

Any other ideas out there?

Just came in from my 20 minutes of sunshine. Looking up, but not directly into the sun. All the while as I was listening a something peaceful while sipping on my coffee. Can it get any better than this? Ugh...actually it can. 🤣 It can be warmer than 23°!

Oh well...being braver these days! Challenging myself more. Doing things I would have never considered in my past. 🥰

Did you know? 🤔 I heard this years ago. Worth hearing again.

It's that time of the year again! What are you implementing into your health and wellness plan for this year? It's never too late!

For me, more strength training and moving my body EVERY day! I've also added in Yoga, which feels amazing. 🙂 I figure since I can, I will be with myself for 1 hour a day for exercise, however that looks each day. 1 hour! Movement is so crucial, especially as we age.

Remember, you are worth it! Do it for YOU! Do it for your loved ones. Do what you can. Baby steps. Just start. "Just Do Something!" ❤️❤️❤️

Baking soda us truly amazing for so many things. We keep large quantities of it in our home.
So in case you haven't heard? ⏬️

Great article below!

Baking soda has long been recognized for its versatility, but did you know it once played a prominent role in treating various health issues? In 1924, doctors turned to baking soda to fight the flu, and today, research reveals it has the potential to fight cancer cells and reduce inflammation. It's not just a household cleaning item—baking soda has remarkable properties that can support overall health in natural ways.

While its healing powers may be underappreciated, baking soda's ability to help maintain the body’s pH balance and alleviate symptoms of acidity makes it a valuable natural remedy. Ayurveda often encourages the use of simple, yet effective, substances like baking soda to restore balance in the body.

If you’re dealing with inflammation or acidity, consider giving baking soda a try, alongside other natural remedies. Always consult with a health professional, but this old-school remedy could play a role in supporting your health. 🌿✨

I'm thinking after 10 years of switching from contact lenses to wearing glasses. I love my contacts, but as I learn what they can so to my eyes, I'm thinking it's time. I hadn't even started wearing them until I turned 60.

It will be a huge adjustment for me, but my eyes are pretty important to me.

Thoughts from anyone?

Good afternoon! Wow! What a cold day here in the Midwest! What a great day to catch up on things I've been trying to tend to in days/weeks! The first thing would be to share about an amazing piece of fruit I truly love!

Did you know? 🤔 Dates are loaded with rich nutrients, such as Vitamin B6, niacin, riboflavin, and Vitamin K. They are also a good source of potassium, magnesium, copper, manganese, and iron, high in fiber, and have natural sugars that can provide you with quick energy!

They support Digestive Health with fiber and can support a healthy gut microbiome by acting as a prebiotic. The fiber in dates also helps prevent constipation by promoting healthy bowel movements.

They also support Heart Health by regulating blood pressure, because of the potassium and magnesium.

So not only are they eating a piece of candy, but the benefits are so amazing! Anyone else out there share the same love of the "date?" 🧐
