Taking care of your mental health is just as important as your physical health! As a therapist specializing in anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder and other struggles, I use evidence-based approaches like CBT, ACT and DBT to help you navigate life's challenges. 🧠💪
When I'm not in the office, you can find me at the gym or spending time with my two adorable cats 🐾 and family. Remember, it's okay to ask for help, and together we can work towards a healthier, happier you!
✨ Let’s embark on this journey together. DM, email, call or text me to learn more about how I can support you!

Penny, Sadie and Peter (my daughter’s kitty) for added cuteness 😍

Maybe today is the day. The day you put theirs down and pick yours up. Maybe it’s time to analyze your responsibilities. The “I have to”s, the stuff you take on because others can’t or won’t, the stuff you do because you can and want to help even if costs you peace, rest and quality of life. Maybe it’s time to explore the meaning of true self care, the feeling of real relief, rest and comfort. Why is it so hard, feels so guilty and selfish to make room for these necessities that we have made into luxuries. Just a thought. Do the dang thing. Go to the doctor. Take a nap. Say no. Say yes. Go see a friend. Start small, or big, or anywhere in between. Go to therapy. Drink water. Take a walk. Read a book. Do a budget. Change your diet. Learn to crochet. Draw, play, paint, sing. Have a dance party. Face the thing that scares you. Go outside. Pet a dog, or a cat or a snake if thats what you are into. Join the gym, or a church, or a book club, or a support group or a circus (just not a cult please) find some people. Get a house plant and try not to kill it daily. Apply for that job. Go to school. Eat dinner together. Have some fun. Have a skin care routine. Buy yourself something you need or want. Take your vitamins and medicine. Listen to good music. Sit in a sauna or do some hot yoga. Distance yourself from toxicity. This is self care and it’s ok.

My wonderful coworker is hosting this retreat next year. She just finished the first one and it sounded like a wonderful experience. Posting this for those who might be interested in some self love!

The goal: to remind women that they are inherently worthy, unbroken, and loved, despite the stories they tell themselves.Women are really good at being really hard on themselves. But those feelings don't come from nowhere, so let's spend a weekend together exploring those feelings and reshaping the....

I’ve always disliked the saying “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”…….this is more accurate for many. Not saying we don’t develop strengths through hardship.

Chronic stress/anxiety can be the result of our nervous system in over drive. Life sometimes gets us going and we feel as though we can’t slow down…..or maybe being busy is a form of avoidance in someway. Either way our body needs to recognize and remember how to relax. It’s a physiological need. It doesn’t have to mean spending an hour in meditation or getting an expensive massage. There are a million little things we can do to tap into rest/relax. Here are a few….

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a form of therapy that teaches practical skills to help with learning to manage one’s emotional and behavioral reactions to stress and other feelings in a healthy way. It encompasses four main areas of practice, Mindfulness, Emotional Regulation, Distress Tolerance and Interpersonal skills. DBT can help people who find themselves reeling in situations that seem unavoidable or unsolvable. DBT can help people who struggle with urges to do harmful things to self or their relationships when in distress. Contact me for more information if you think DBT might be helpful!
