Owning a business is one thing, owning the property too adds another level of responsibility. Yesterday I raked and mowed and today was 3 hours of pulling weeds by hand so that the pavement doesn't crack further. For a person who is overwhelmed with to do lists, and struggles with attention, this was just what my body needed. Literally! The human body is designed for hard, manual labor. Our nervous system needs the input to be regulated and being outside and working with the dirt and weeds allows us to be grounded as well! This was a task I was able to see my progress as I went and felt accomplished when it was done... which is a big motivator for me! Thank you Kenzie for helping and I'm glad you felt better too 😀

April (National OT Month) has come and gone in the blink of an eye 👁 BUT there's always time to celebrate my amazing Occupational Therapists! These wonderful ladies are amazing people with the biggest hearts. Their dedication to their clients is incredible. They both have a hunger to learn and embody the concept of treating the whole person with every intervention. Happy Belated OT Month! We appreciate you every day!

I know her!!! Meet my sister Jackie! She is the reason that I became an Occupational Therapist. I remember watching her play in a ball pit, ride a scooter and play with shaving cream with her OT, Molly, and thinking "I want to play with kids for my job!" Fast forward 30 years and here we are, I've been an OT for almost 17 years and a business owner for 5. In the early 1990's, my parents were told that Jackie would never learn to read, write, ride a bike, or live on her own. They were wrong. I'm thankful that this technology exists so that she feels safe when alone and can always call for help. Keep proving the world wrong little sister, love you!
