EQUIPMENT SERVICE TECHNICIAN

ServiceStar is currently seeking to fill an open Repair Technician position and for the right applicant. This is an outstanding opportunity for motivated and talented applicants! As a Repair Technician, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a broad range of forklifts as well as commercial cleaning equipment at our shop and/or different customer locations. For this particular position you must possess a positive attitude, superb verbal and written communication skills, great customer service skills, and a go-getter attitude. You must also be able to communicate well over the phone and be able to work independently without constant supervision. On rare occasions overnight trips maybe needed.
We’re looking for exceptional people with the following skills:
• Small Engine Repair, Forklift Repair, Automotive Repair or other experience or technical aptitude
• Strong attention to detail and a problem solving mindset
• Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner
• Ability to lift 80+ lbs.

Required Skills and Competencies
• Any mechanical repair experience qualifies - Janitorial equipment or forklift repair experience not needed!
• Troubleshooting and repair skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand and fill out service-related documents and paperwork.
• Basic tool inventory. We will provide any specialty tools that are needed.
• Clean driving record
• Quick learner

Education Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Starting salary $15 - $22 per hour depending on level of experience.
