🍪 Operation Sweet Support: Mission Accomplished!
Our community is still rebuilding, and the Baptists On Mission volunteers have been the backbone of that recovery. It was such an honor for our Blue Ridge Regional Hospital team to "serve the servers" and show our appreciation for everything they do!
We want to give a huge shout-out to our incredible staff for their heart and hard work. Thanks to their generosity, we prepared and delivered over 1,250 homemade desserts to these dedicated volunteers.
From baking cookies and brownies to packaging treats at the hospital and serving hot meals at the former Deyton Elementary School in Spruce Pine, our team went above and beyond to provide a taste of home to those giving so much to our neighbors.
We are so proud of this team! 💙

"A concussion can happen in an instant — a tough hit, a sudden jolt or any impact that makes the brain shift inside the skull," says Kelli Franklin, Mission Hospital pediatric trauma program manager. "And here’s the tricky part: some symptoms show up right away, while others don’t appear for hours or even days. That’s why it helps to know what to watch for and when to get help."
Mission Health emergency rooms are equipped and ready to evaluate serious head injuries and provide fast, specialized care when it matters most.
Take a moment to learn the warning signs, when rest is enough and when it’s time to call 911 or head to the ER. Your brain deserves the best protection. 🧠
