For months, Sean had one question for his Direct Support Professional, Cole:
“When can we go see the horses?”

All winter, the cold kept Sean from visiting the horses at Zumwalt Farm. But with warmer weather, they finally made it happen.

Sean enjoyed the sunshine, played with the dogs, and proudly led his favorite horse, Mr. Blaze, around the pasture.

Grateful for DSPs like Cole who ensure our clients get to do the things they enjoy.

Last week, Tim Lewis and Ron Meier from Knights of Columbus of Ascension Catholic Church Catholic Church in Chesterfield visited with Ron’s sister and Emmaus client, Janine and her roommates, Dre and Netta. While there, Tim and Ron presented Emmaus with a check for $5,000 from last October’s Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Drive. Thank you to Tim, Ron, and the Knights of Columbus of Ascension Catholic Church in Chesterfield for your continued generosity and commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.

We are truly grateful to Gateway Fiber for sending a team of volunteers to support our homes last week. They jumped in to help with basement clean outs and organization projects at a few of clients' homes, and the difference they made was immediately felt by our staff and the individuals we serve. Staff shared especially positive feedback, noting how helpful, hardworking, and genuinely appreciative the volunteers were throughout the day.

Transportation Is Access. Access Is Opportunity.
Reliable, accessible transportation is not a luxury—it is essential. For individuals with disabilities, having the right vehicle means access to healthcare, employment, community life, and independence.

Emmaus is applying for multiple federally funded accessible vans through the Missouri Department of Transportation to continue meeting the growing transportation needs of the individuals we serve. These vehicles will help ensure Emmaus clients can safely and consistently access the opportunities that allow them to live full, meaningful lives.
