Walk Day Details

Event Date: Saturday, April 25, 2026
Event Location: Siteman Cancer Center - St. Peters
| 150 Entrance Way, St. Peters, MO 63376
Event Schedule: Registration begins at 8:30 AM | Program Begins at 9:15 | Walk Starts at 9:30 | Health and Resource Fair 10 am - 1 pm
Registration Fees: Adults - $25 | Children (ages 5-15) - $15 | No registration fee for children under 5
T-shirt information: Every registration made before April 10, 2026 will receive a t-shirt at walk. Registrations made after that date, we cannot guarantee correct sizing will be available.

Parking Information: Please park in the designated parking areas; follow signs once you are on the hospital campus.

God has given me a gift—and it’s not something I would ever fumble.

He’s trusted me with the ability to create real connections between my clients, their families, and my caregivers. That’s not something I take lightly. Every single client deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued by the person caring for them.

It usually starts with that first phone call… a son or daughter just trying to figure out how to care for someone they love. And by the end of that conversation, I’m already invested. My heart is in it. My mind is turning, thinking of every possible way we can truly support that family—not just meet a need, but make a difference.

By the time we follow up after that first week, hearing things like “you’re a godsend”… I receive it with humility. Because the truth is, I’m just a woman who was blessed to watch her mother love people deeply—not with money, but with her heart. And I thank God every day for allowing me to carry that same love into the lives of others.

I’m grateful to God for not giving up on me…
For teaching me to listen…
For carrying me through the hard times…
For steadying me when I felt like I was falling.

And now, I’m honored to watch this vision—this baby—continue to grow.

Because this is bigger than me.

We are here to make a real impact in our community… and in every single life we touch.

Life is about growth.
And God is far too big for us to stay in a fishbowl.

Truly Treasured Home Care had the privilege of hosting Dementia Life STL for their Dementia 101: Knowing the Basics for Better Care education series—and it was absolutely AMAZING.

No matter how many trainings or classes I’ve taken on dementia, I walked away from this one learning things I never knew. That says a lot.

Mary is phenomenal. Her passion for this cause is exactly what this industry and our community need. You can feel her heart in every word she shares.

I’m already looking forward to the next session in May, and I hope even more people join us as we continue this monthly education series throughout 2026. It is truly worth attending—and the best part, it’s completely FREE.

Misunderstood Behaviors in Dementia and Helpful Strategies for Caregivers

Many behaviors in dementia are often misunderstood. Repeating questions, wandering, agitation, or accusing others of stealing are usually not intentional, they are ways the brain is trying to cope with confusion, memory loss, or unmet needs.

As caregivers, responding with patience and understanding can make a huge difference.
