Since 1996, Volunteers In Medicine – St. Charles has provided FREE primary health care to uninsured adults in St. Charles and Lincoln counties. No one here is paid – our doctors, nurses, and staff are all volunteers.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our cherished Clinical Director, Anita Hockett.

Anita’s leadership, heart, and tireless passion for helping others have left a lasting legacy on our clinic and the thousands of patients and volunteers whose lives she touched.

We made the front page of yesterday's issue of Community News Publications! Thank you again to Cuivre River Electric Cooperative, Inc. for your generous donation which allows us to continue our mission of providing free care and medications to underserved residents of St. Charles and Lincoln County, regardless of their ability to pay.

Four charitable organizations were each awarded a $5,000 “Sharing Success” grant by Cuivre River Electric Cooperative (CREC) and CoBank. The recipients of the 2024 grants are Bridge of Hope Lincoln County, Anne’s Anchor, Volunteers in Medicine St. Charles, and Tribute to Veteran’s Memorial. ...

Happening this morning in St. Charles!

SSM Health is continuing its work to address food insecurity in the St. Louis region. SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – St. Charles and the St. Louis Area Foodbank are hosting a free food distribution event on Tuesday, September 24, at 9 am to distribute food to residents in need. No pre-registration required.
