I have been working in the mental health field since 2002, getting fully licensed in 2004. I have worked in various settings including vocational rehabilitation and community mental health, both of which gave me great experience with people of all kids of needs and mental health issues. In 2010, I took the plunge and went into private practice and have been loving this job more and more. People ask my specialty and I will answer with 'people'. Everyone has issues they face everyday and it's my role to help my clients navigate them all and get to place in their life with more clarity and positive movement forward! I have also added an additional certification of a Certified First Responder Counselor. First Responders have an incredibly demanding role in our community and the challenges of these jobs can take a toll on mental health. I strive to provide a comfortable place along with a great understating of these roles for those needing assistance in coping with the great challenges these jobs entail.
