What a great time we had at Fall Fest last Saturday! Our staff, resident families, local business sponsors and community guests all really showed up for our seniors! I hope you’ll read this whole post so our volunteers and sponsors receive the thanks, recognition and support they deserve, and I hope I don’t forget anyone! If I do, please let me know so I can update!
*Resident Family Volunteers*: Fran (caramel apples), Pam (popcorn), Victoria (beer & wine) - you three were amazing, as usual! Thank you so much!🙂
*Business Sponsors* who generously provided food/drink, raffle baskets, or both! Please support these businesses:
Slice Society Pizza (SCS)
Ashby’s Ice Cream (GPW)
Hospice of Michigan
Copper Hop Brewing (SCS)
Sweet Life Cake Shop (SCS)
Tubby’s (SCS)
Trader Joe’s (GP)
Tropical Smoothie Cafe (Roseville)
TCBY (GP)
Very special thanks to *Ashley Ellen* who brought her adorable miniature horse 🐴 and mama and baby goats 🐐 and even took the mini horse room to room to visit with residents who chose not to come outside. So. Much. Joy!!! I mean, who doesn’t love a mini horse or a baby goat?!?!
Facepainting was beautifully done by volunteer (and former staff member) Brianna Dillon! We love when she visits!
Beechwood Directors: Cyndie, Michele, Krista, Lisa, Steve & Hillary. *Michele & Cyndie, you knocked it out of the park with this event!
Life Enrichment Team: D’Ann, Cindy, Daelyn, Crystal
Countless staff from Caregiving, Housekeeping and the Front Office. From Food Services, Patty helped with games and both Stephanies took on active roles: one served cider and donuts, and the other did a wonderful job supporting the Life Enrichment team.
You all worked so hard securing sponsors, setting up, decorating, serving food, transporting residents, cleaning up, and importantly, connecting with residents and the community. Thank you, thank you, thank you and Happy Autumn! 🍁🍂🎃 Oh, and one last thank you to Mother Nature for the most perfect weather we could ask for!
Keep an eye out for our next event and let us know if you have fun ideas for events that would benefit our residents
