For our October , we’d like you to meet Penny!

She brings a unique kind of energy and is a delight to her fellow residents, who often comment on her spunky charm and quick wit.

One thing she loves about living at The Blake is the people. “Everyone always has a positive attitude. I honestly feel like someone always has my back.”

If she could give one piece of advice, it would be: “Just remember that no matter where we come from, we’re all in the same boat.”

Fun fact: Her degree is in radio-television. “I’m also a published writer, and I love everything to do with communication.”

Penny has brought so much life to The Blake, and we are so lucky to have her!

For our October , we would like to recognize Madison! She has been with The Blake for 8 months and has become a vital part of our community.

Madison is one of our LPNs here at The Blake. She is an extremely hard worker who always goes above and beyond for our residents.

Her favorite part of working at The Blake is the residents. She says, “I love getting to know their history and what makes them who they are today. I love to learn a lesson whenever I can. I like to make a difference in people’s lives and be there when I can.”

Fun Fact: “I’ve always wanted to be a nurse growing up. I was in a car accident in 2011 that left me with a broken neck and jaw. At 6 years old, I had to relearn how to walk.” That accident inspired her to become a nurse. She graduated from nursing school at 19 years old.

Thank you, Madison, for all that you do. Congratulations!
