One thing that often causes confusion with PEMF is the difference between FDA-cleared and FDA-approved. The distinction matters.
FDA clearance means a device has gone through a specific regulatory pathway to demonstrate safety and that it performs as intended. It does not mean the FDA is endorsing outcomes or making treatment claims. In the wellness space especially, those lines can get blurred quickly.
I’m intentional about the equipment I use and the language I choose, not because it sounds impressive, but because there's too much noise and overpromising in this space, and accuracy matters. My goal is always to provide clear information so people can make educated decisions for themselves, their families, and their animals.

What PEMF can support, and what it can’t.
PEMF is often talked about as a “do everything” modality. That’s not how I use it, or how it should be used.
In my practice, PEMF is used as supportive care for:
• Recovery and tissue health
• Training load and performance routines
• General wellness and nervous system regulation
What it doesn’t do:
• Diagnose or treat medical conditions
• Replace medical care or rehab
• Act as a quick fix
Used appropriately, PEMF is one tool, not a magic solution, and works best when it’s matched with the right goals and expectations.

For those who don’t know me, my name is Kate Baccus and I am proud to be a MagnaWave Certified Practitioner serving Northeast Florida, Central Florida and surrounding areas. I am a licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Florida with extensive outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation experience. I found my passion for the rehabilitation profession after spending several years in therapy for chronic knee injuries. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science at Wake Forest University and graduated with high honors from University of St. Augustine with a Master of Occupational Therapy degree.
My interest in PEMF began as a way to combine my passion for helping people regain wellness and independence in their daily lives with my love of animals. Being able to help humans, horses, and other animals become healthier, perform at their best, and recover from injuries and illness is truly the realization of a lifelong dream. My business’s name is a tribute to my first Arabian pony, Grand Performance, aka “Geepers,” my best friend and partner for over 21 years until his passing in October 2015. Since January 2019, I have been honored to work with over 100 clients using our drug-free, non-invasive technology to help their bodies heal themselves.
I am also a lifelong equestrian, having competed in hunters, jumpers, eventing, and dressage. I am a C-3 United States Pony Club graduate and a United States Dressage Federation Bronze Medalist. I currently compete locally in dressage with my 12 year old Oldenburg gelding, Ferrari.
I am also a runner, and have completed three marathons, eight half marathons, four 10ks, and five 5ks in the last 7 years. I am a sailing enthusiast, and love to play golf as well. I currently live in Saint John’s, FL with my husband and dog, Kona, but we will be expanding with a second location to Celebration, FL beginning in April 2020!
