As pediatric therapists, one of the most common things we hear from parents is:
“I thought they would grow out of it.”
Sometimes kids do.
But sometimes they just need the right support to build the skills they’re missing.
If your child struggles with things like:
• using their hands for everyday tasks
• tolerating certain textures
• sitting still for activities
• dressing themselves
• managing big emotions
It doesn’t mean anything is “wrong.” It may simply mean their nervous system needs a little extra help learning these skills.
Occupational therapy helps children build the foundations for everyday life — through play, movement, and meaningful activities.
Early support can make a huge difference in confidence, independence, and participation at home, school, and in the community.
✨ If some of these signs sound familiar, you’re not alone — and support is available.
