This week we gathered for a powerful evening of community, conversation, and care at our NWGHAAD Dinner. 💜

In honor of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, we created space to uplift women, share resources, break stigma, and remind one another that our health and voices matter. From meaningful dialogue to good food and great company, the night was a beautiful reminder that when women come together, healing and empowerment follow.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared their stories, and continues to support the fight against HIV. The work continues—but so does the love, advocacy, and commitment to our community.

Progress in the HIV response must include women and girls.

Despite representing about 1 in 5 new HIV diagnoses, women comprised only 9% of PrEP users in 2024, signaling continued unmet prevention needs.

This NWGHAAD, we recognize the importance of connecting women to prevention, testing, treatment, and care at every stage of life. Join us in recognizing and amplifying resources that support prevention, care, and long-term health for women affected by HIV.

Today we recognize International S*x Workers’ Rights Day — a day to stand in solidarity, honor resilience, and advocate for dignity, safety, and human rights for all s*x workers.

S*x workers deserve:
🔹 Respect
🔹 Protection from violence
🔹 Access to healthcare without stigma
🔹 Fair labor rights
🔹 The freedom to exist without discrimination

No matter the profession, every person deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported. We amplify voices, challenge harmful narratives, and commit to creating spaces rooted in compassion and justice.

Support. Don’t stigmatize.
Listen. Don’t judge.
Advocate. Don’t ignore.

💐 Today, we open Women’s History Month by honoring the power, resilience, and brilliance of women, past, present, and future.

This month-long observance originated in grassroots advocacy and became a national designation in 1987, created to uplift women whose contributions have too often gone unseen. It is both a celebration and a call to continue the work toward equity, dignity, and justice.

We begin with “Phenomenal Woman," Dr. Maya Angelou’s timeless declaration of self-worth, confidence, and unapologetic womanhood. The poem reminds us that society’s narrow standards do not define power, but by the quiet strength, grace, and knowing we carry within ourselves.

As Dr. Angelou wrote,
“I’m a woman / Phenomenally. / Phenomenal woman, / That’s me.”

This Women’s History Month, we celebrate women who lead boldly, love fiercely, and stand firmly in who they are—phenomenal, just as they are.

✨ Happy Women’s History Month ✨

March is for the women who lead, nurture, build, heal, create, survive, and thrive.

To the ones breaking ceilings, raising standards, loving loudly, and standing ten toes in their power — we celebrate you today and every day. 🤎✨

Here’s to resilience.
Here’s to softness and strength coexisting.
Here’s to women rewriting the narrative in every room they enter.

Happy National Women’s Month. Keep shining. The world adjusts when you walk in.
