This might not be the prettiest picture but it is to me! This little spot of the yard has had some random money plants and a Mexican petunia from my wedding. Decided to turn it into an actual bed this year. It's still too early to clear out all the leaves to help the buggies but my comfrey needed some air from all its dead leaves, so I took them and scattered them across this new bed! Comfrey gathers nutrients from deep within the earth so it's one of the best materials for your garden bed! You can also find recipes to make it into a liquid fertilizer thats great for tomatoes and cucumbers!

Comfrey has also been known as boneset as it has been used to heal broken bones and strains. Metaphysically it's good for healing spiritual fractures, healing, and binding.

When life gives you a case of organic blackberries for $10 you get a couple and get to work! We made seedless blackberry honey jam. Then put the pulp and seeds into the dehydrator. Now I will grind them up and use as a smoothie boost and natural food coloring for desserts. I washed and saved all the clamshells they came in and they will be used as tiny greenhouses to start our tomato and pepper seedlings later this week!

Blackberries are good for protection, healing, and prosperity. They are also a great offering to Brigid!

In Greek mythology it is said when the Titans were defeated by Zeus and the Olympians, their blood touched the earth, causing blackberry bushes to spring forth.

So here's to a little protection and feasting on the blood of titans!

The arts do so much for the soul, especially in troubled times. We saw this play last weekend and my daughter is still reciting lines from it. 💕 Great messages for children of all ages.

Was able to tune into CRSTL.FM running the kids around today. I was holding back tears of joy to have our community radio back in action. So many of the amazing volunteers have returned offering music and stories from their hearts. We need spaces like this and the fact these wonderful humans came back together to create for their community again speaks volumes to the kinds of amazing people that make up STL!

We started with Fresh Start on CRSTL FM w/ Ace at 7AM, then Backroads w/ Stacy at 10AM, then Herencia Latina w/ Lydia at Noon, and now it's Music at Work w/ Curt from 2-4PM Central.
