At The Hub, we will collaborate with Mercy Clinic Primary Care - North St. Louis to bring quality and comprehensive care to our community.

This year, we were proud to partner with the Washington University in St. Louis's School of Public Health and Aging Ahead to bring in-home vaccinations directly to older adults across Missouri. Our team traveled throughout the state to help keep older Missourians healthy, safe, and supported—especially during the holiday season.

'When the Walgreens at No. Kingshighway Blvd., and Natural Bridge Road in St. Louis’ Penrose neighborhood shuttered its doors on March 27, 2025, it was more than just a store closing.

The abrupt end to the pharmacy located within the state meant that many of its customers, including seniors who have difficulty finding transportation, would have to travel more than four miles to the nearest Walgreens.

Other national pharmacies have also recently closed, creating a “pharmacy desert.”

GreaterHealth Pharmacy and Wellness has a remedy, though. It plans to open a new location soon to serve its nearby neighborhoods...'

Exciting!

Major Moves for Greater Health Pharmacy

The Community Development Association (CDA) recently awarded $600,000 to St. Louis's only Black-owned pharmacy to build a new location in North St. Louis. This new site aims to assist residents affected by the closings of Walgreens, ensuring that the community retains access to vital pharmacy services. Additionally, residents can already begin transferring prescriptions online and are eligible for free home delivery services.
