I have always been comfortable with left brained activities-preferring to do math homework before any kind of writing. I was pretty firmly rooted in logic, deciding to major in science in college and working in scientific labs. At some point, I read Stephen Buhner books about plant spirits and it was intriguing. I even tried some of the suggestions of asking certain plant spirits for help and was amused that it worked, but pretty much chalked it up to coincidence. Jump ahead many years, I was taking over the plant transformation pipeline. It was a blessing in disguise. The work was extremely monotonous, mind numbing, and depressing since the success rate was so low. However, while I worked, I was able to listen to Michael Sheridan's "So You Think You Are Awake" show about dream interpretation, finding your life purpose, and discovering your spiritual abilities. I listened to all 100 episodes and started listening to them again. Something he said really struck home and was said just perfectly. I hope I can do it justice- it was the misconception that people think that by following their life purpose, they will either be doing something they don't want to, or that they will be doing something they really love and be dirt poor. He explained why that isn't possible, the two opposite don't align. So I sat in my garden, feeling like I was on the edge of a cliff. Do I take this leap into the unknown and explore this side of things? It is clearly not logical. As soon as I started listening to the shows, I started remembering my dreams, and I knew there were important messages there. I decided to go for it, and I signed up for Michael's online class with a bonus session with his daughter Heidi (a very talented channel).
