Hi does anyone know any great Medicare/ Medicaid fraud lawyers to cover a case in Clayton, Missouri? I was contacted with this Health and Rehab Facility back in December to provide Staffing for their residents. This facility I believe has been practicing illegal and fraudulent business practices. I believe they seek unsuspecting Staffing Agencies to sign contracts with them to staff their facilities run up their staffing invoices then refuse to pay. Along the way, they change the facility name. This facility contracted with my Agency using my staff to care for their residents at their Nursing and Rehab facility in Clayton for several months. They ran my invoices to the tune of over $140,000 then refused to pay me. Initially they made several promises to pay, entered payment plans, which they didn't honor, then stopped answering emails and phone calls for several weeks. They have now changed names and are claiming that the new facility owners have nothing to do with the old facility, which is not true. They are owned by this "Trust" that owns several other nursing homes here in Missouri and several others in different States. The new facility name has taken up the place where the old facility was listed. I believe this particular facility has been practicing these fraudulent practices for a while. Funny thing is, some of my employees had told me before to make sure they pay me when I first contracted with them but at the time their "credit pull" didn't reveal anything suspicious but unknown to us, it's because they had just changed names. They are masters of this fraudulent schemes while collecting Medicare and Medicaid funds. This is not just unfair to us the agencies that provide them with the staff to care for these residents, it's unfair, its illegal and its criminal. I'm sure I'm not the only one that is a victim of this scams considering they own several different Nursing Homes and Assisted living facilities. Funny thing, they are owned by a trust and own several other Nursing Homes and Assited living facilities all over the country. I'm sure Iam not the only one who has fallen victim to these people. If you have fallen victim, please share here and hopefully we get the help we need and these fraudulent activities are brought to a stop and those behind them hopefully pay for the pain and suffering they have inflicted to Small business owners like me and any victims of these fraudulent practices.
