Spartanburg, SC is very near where Dr. Whitson completed her residency. There is a significant outbreak of this long forgotten disease. Pediatricians who trained prior to all of the misinformation being distributed by the propaganda machine never had to diagnose and watch children suffer from this disease because vaccination rates in the USA were statistically higher.

Vaccines are safe. Vaccines prevent illnesses, hospitalizations and deaths.

Baby formula manufacturer ByHeart recalled all of its products sold nationwide Tuesday. The move comes days after some batches were recalled amid an expanding outbreak of infant botulism.

Acetaminophen is an over-the-counter medicine used to reduce fevers and relieve pain. It is sold under many brand names, including Tylenol.

Decades of research have found that acetaminophen is safe for children when administered as recommended. Misleading claims link the medicine to autism. These false claims send a confusing, dangerous message to parents and expectant parents and does a disservice to autistic individuals. Read more at the link below.

Measles update

There is a confirmed case of measles in an out of state resident who visited St Louis Aquarium between 1-6 pm on April 30th. They also ate at a local restaurant (details emerging )
For those who did NOT visit aquarium - no additional intervention necessary.

If you did visit the museum on 4/30 between 1-6 pm - post exposure prophylaxis is recommended if
—unvaccinated
—immunocompromised
—pregnant

Please call us asap as the window for post exposure prophylaxis ends tomorrow 5/6 .
The incubation period for measles after an exposure is 10-12 days which would fall on 5/10-5/12 for this exposure .

CDC reports 51% jump in measles cases in one week
The US has recorded at least 97 confirmed measles cases across 17 states as of March 28, an increase of 51.6% from the previous week, and the number of cases exceeds the 58 reported in all of 2023, according to CDC data. Fifty-six percent of the patients were hospitalized for isolation or management of complications, and children younger than 5 years had the highest hospitalization rate at 68%, followed by adults at 56%.
